Rafael Tellez is a health care worker living in Oakland, CA. He is still struggling with the “body image situation”.

Rafael became involved with the film when he notice a pamphlet pinned at a message board in San Francisco. It took him close to three months to call the number. He hopes his participation in the fill will show that this problem goes beyond cultures and races in the gay community. Rafael also hopes that the views of the whole community become a little more realistic when it comes to the aceptance of anyone’s body and mannerism.

“I love our flag, full of colors. I hoped this meant that reggardless of our colors, cultures, shapes, languages and mannerisms, we were all gay and accepted under it. But, now,... is it just like the American Flag, with a different meaning for whites, blacks, latinos or asians? Republicans or Democrats? Pro-gay or anti-gay? Are we copying exactly what we don’t like from the American Mainstream and then exporting it to the whole world? Let’s just remember, the whole world is watching us (American Gays), am I a roll model for the world’s future gay generations?....It’s just a thought!!”
